Trip to Batam

Depart from Singapore at 10.50am, reach there around 10.50am too as they are 1 hour behind us. Went thru the custom, and is looking around for our pick up at the arrival hall.

We went round and round bt din manage to see anyone holding up a signboard etc. My friend called up the hotel, the line is being transfer from one dept to another, language is a problem, they told us to take taxi, my friend insisted the hotel to send a pick up and her voice went louder and louder.

Then finally a small little girl come up to us holding a small piece of receipt "excuse me, are you ms XXX?" This small little girl is hiding one corner, without holding any signboard or identify herself, hw are we going to recognise her??? Anyway, we told her that we had alrdy asked the hotel to send a taxi, can she cancel it for us, she look at us blankly but keep saying "yes, yes, yes" but din action.

We waited for more pple to come and they were complaining tht there is no signboard too .......

Finally got to our hotel, Harmoni Hotel at Nagoya Town. The place looks nice, the room is nice but the only one set of tolietries, slippers and towels, so we had to call up for extra set. The curtain is weird, only the day curtain can be fully drawn, the nite curtain is only hanging at the side, not able to draw it close at all............ We rest for a while and went on our itinerary.

We went to Win's Spa, just behind the Hotel, to look at the package and book for an appointment. It is a nice clean environment, due to time constraint, we decided to take the 1.5hr package with include full body massage, steam bath and body scrub and it cost $150,000 rupia equivalent to S$25.60

After booking, we walk back to the hotel and take the hotel taxi because we are worried and not sure how the taxi operate there and if the driver is trust worthy...... taxi fare is $20,000 rupia equivalent to S$3.42

Our first stop is Center Point, its quite near our hotel. We had Ayam Penyek for lunch, the price is 1/3 of the price in Singapore. Nothing much at Center Point, very small shopping center.

We decided to go back to Win's Spa and see if we can hve our spa done earlier. Luckily they have enough pple, so we had our spa. Relax, relax for 1.5hr except in the mid of massae, my boss called, ignored the call.

We proceed to Lucky Plaza, its a local shopping center, bought a few t-shirts and a kuey lapis, had 2 ice cream, meiji flower ice cream, it is not found in singapore. Went to the A1 seafood that is behind Lucky Plaza but it is too early, nothing open. We went back to leave our things and proceed to Robinson, another local shopping, very noisy and stuffy, the air con is not strong, we are just too pampered. Got some kachang from the super market and then went back to hotel.

Finally got our dinner at the Korean Resturant in the hotel. I enjoyed it, love kimchi soup. There is a little doggie, so adorable, played with her awhile before we go back to the room and end our day.

Tot we'll be having a good nite rest, who knows the roaring of motorcycle is so unbearable and the curtain cannot be drawn...... whole nite din sleep well.

The next day, we booked the massage in the hotel, the lady called up and asked if we want to do massage 1 at 10am 1 at 11am, I told her no we wan to do together, then she said 10am can only 1, 11am can only 1, so we cancel the booking and she asked me why????

We went back to Win's Spa, did our hair treatment cum neck and shoulder massage, its 45,000 equivalent to S$7.69. After massage, we went in to KFC, wanted to buy the potatoe pastry, asked for 2 but the guy said cannot, he speak bahasa indonesia that we dun understand, finally only got 1.... language barrier..........

We went back and pack, getting ready to go home, check out at 12.45pm, the little ger is there to pick us up. Finally home sweet home........
